Understanding What the AI Found in Your Photos

The assistant suggests what your item is, its condition, and a price from your photos — but it's a starting point to review, not a finished listing.

Understanding What the AI Found in Your Photos

What the assistant is actually doing

When you upload photos of an item, Reseller Express looks at them and puts together three suggestions:

  1. Identity — what the item is: the product, brand, and model it appears to match.
  2. Condition — how worn or new the item looks, based on what's visible in the photos plus your quick answers to a short set of yes/no questions about specific wear points. We call this step "So it doesn't get returned" — because getting the condition right up front is what keeps a buyer from opening a return later.
  3. Price — a suggested asking price based on the identity and condition together.

All three show up together so you can see, at a glance, what the assistant is working from and change any part of it.

Why "So it doesn't get returned" matters more than it sounds

It's tempting to rush through the condition step, especially if the item looks fine in the photos. But condition is the single biggest driver of buyer disputes and returns. A buyer who receives an item in worse shape than described will ask for a refund — and that costs you money and time, on top of the bad experience.

The photos alone can't always show everything: a small stain out of frame, a scratch that doesn't catch the light, a part that doesn't work quite right. That's why the condition step asks a few direct yes/no questions about specific things to check, rather than relying on the photos by themselves. Answering them honestly — even when the answer is inconvenient — is what makes the suggested condition accurate, and an accurate condition is what keeps buyers happy after the sale.

Why you always have the final say

Nothing the assistant suggests is published or exported automatically. Every suggestion — identity, condition, price — is exactly that: a suggestion, shown to you before anything happens. You can accept it as-is, edit any part of it, or overwrite it entirely with your own description.

This isn't just a safety net; it's the reason the assistant can move quickly at all. It doesn't need to be perfect on every photo, because you're always the one confirming the final version before it goes anywhere. If the suggested identity is close but not exact — say, it identified the right brand but the wrong model — you can correct just that part without redoing everything else.

What to look for when reviewing

What to do next

Before you publish or export, read through all three suggestions — identity, condition, and price — and correct anything that doesn't match the item in front of you. A minute spent here now saves a return, a dispute, or an unhappy buyer later.
