How to take good photographs — and what not to upload.

How to take good photographs

  • Use good, even lighting — natural daylight works well.
  • Fill the frame with the item; avoid excessive background clutter.
  • Photograph the item from more than one angle, including any labels or markings.
  • Photograph any visible damage or wear clearly — this helps document condition honestly.
  • Keep the camera steady to avoid blurry photos.

What not to upload

  • Photos containing other people, faces, or personal documents.
  • Photos showing your home address, mail, or other identifying personal information in the background.
  • Photos of items that are prohibited or illegal to sell.
  • Photos that aren't actually of the item you're listing.
